Maritime Safety, Security and Environment (MSSE)
The Technical Committee on Maritime Safety, Security & Environmental Protection (MSSE TC) is established by the Council to further the aims and objects of the Association. The affairs of the MSC TC are conducted in accordance with the regulations established by the Council, and its Head is appointed in accordance with clause I.03 of the Constitution.
MSS TC is a platform for mariners to engage in discussions leading to sound professional pronouncement on contemporary issues of the shipping and maritime transport, at the national, regional, and international stage.
MSS TC aims to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development by providing effective leadership and modern-day solutions to a wide range of issues including implementation of relevant international shipping Conventions, carriage of cargoes, navigation, communications, maritime search and rescue, maritime security, and pollution prevention and response.
Membership to MSS TC is open to all members of the Association. Every person who wishes to join MSS TC must submit a written request to the Head of MSS TC at: head-msctc@ampk.or.ke
